LEONHARDT RATTUNDE have worked on hundreds of cases involving corporate insolvency in Berlin. The Charlottenburg District Court (“Amtsgericht”) handles the highest number of insolvency cases in the entire Federal Republic of Germany (source: InsolNet GmbH).

LEONHARDT RATTUNDE have been able to save a significant number of businesses and jobs in Berlin. Herlitz AG was restructured using the first insolvency plan procedure (“Insolvenzplanverfahren”) devised for a major German corporation (»www.herlitz.de). Senator Entertainment AG has also been restructured using an insolvency plan procedure (“Insolvenzplanverfahren”) which, for the first time in Germany’s legal history, involved a reduction of the share capital in conjunction with a subsequent increase of the share capital (»www.senator.de). During the insolvency of the travel agency of the FDGB (Independent Federation of German Trade Unions of the GDR), we were able to settle all the claims brought by its 18,000 employees to the satisfaction of all interested parties. In addition, we have also worked on numerous corporate insolvencies of small and medium-sized businesses.
